The mold with follower to make all types of hard and semi-hard cheeses. Cheshire cheese, Gloucester, Colby-Jack (Cojack), Mimolette (Boule de Lille), Edam, Gouda are born in this form.
The mold wall is 8 mm thick. So, the mold can be used for pressing cheese under considerable weight (estimated weight is up to 150 kg). A cheese wheel made in this mold has tight structure. And besides, it looks beautiful due to spherical surface of the mold bottom and pressing plunger.
Cheese makers should pay attention to tight contact of the follower with the inner surface of the mold. No significant gap can be found between the follower and the receiving part of the mold. It prevents the cheese grain from squeezing out under considerable load. No cheese press cloth or any other inserts are required for this mold!
